Description Anthony Price 2020-04-30 11:14:17 UTC
SUMMARY
I am using rotoscoping on one of my projects. After around 20 seconds it just shuts down and I lose whatever work I managed to do within that 20 seconds. I thought it may have been as I was using the version just before 20.04.0 so I upgraded to it and it still happens. I not very tech minded so I don't know what is causing it. Other programs on my laptop run fine.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open project
2. continue editing rotoscope key frame by keyframe
3. That's all I do

OBSERVED RESULT
Kdenlive just shuts down

EXPECTED RESULT
Not shutdown

Thank you for reporting. Could you check this issue https://invent.kde.org/kde/kdenlive/-/issues/122 and let me know if it's similar to your issue.

Do you use a coma or dot as decimal separator in your country?
It could be while Kdenlive makes a backup saving it crashes.

Make following test: Set only 1 or 2 keyframe -> wait 20 seconds -> does it crash?
Comment 2 emohr 2021-03-06 10:26:43 UTC
With the version 20.08 the coma point issue should be solved. With the version 20.12 the effects are checked and updated.

Please try with the latest version (https://kdenlive.org/en/download/)
