SUMMARY
On Wayland (Plasma 5.18.4), the Kmail main window is frozen when I try to scroll through folders or message list. I have to minimize and maximize it again to make the view refresh. The menu bar works fine though.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start Kmail on a Plasma Wayland session
2. Try to scroll through folders for example
3. Nothing seems to happen unless you minimize and display the Kmail window again

Moving the mouse cursor around seem to refresh the view, too.

The problem still occusrs in Plasma 5.19 beta.

I don't know if this is of any help, but I just discovered that you can get the same kind of glitch in Firefox Wayland when setting widget.wayland_vsync.enabled to true in about:config.

I think I have the same bug on a Wayland session: 
Clicking on a different mail/folder doesn't highlight the selected folder/mail; I have to move the cursor around.
Moreover, there are like 2 or three mails at the bottom of the mail list, that stay there even after selecting another folder. Am using the classic folder list w/o preview.
