SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add 2 videos on 2 different timelines, both scaled in time (for example 1min)
2. Add the dissolve effect between both

OBSERVED RESULT
The dissolve effect adjust to the top video but not to beginning of the below one

EXPECTED RESULT
Adjust to both videos

Thanks for your report!

I tried with latest version (21.12.1) and in my tests the composition always adjusts to the length of the overlap if the overlap is longer than the default transition duration, but not if the overlap is shorter. This seems to be indeed wrong.

I cannot reproduce anymore with current git. Can you please test again and if still here, explain how you add the transition (through context menu, drag or clicking on clip's hotspot)
