SUMMARY When playhead moves to end of visible area of timeline, video in project monitor becomes laggy STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Put any video on timeline 2. Zoom in (level 18+) 3. Press Space to play OBSERVED RESULT When playhead is moved to end of visible area, timeline starts to update, and video in project monitor becomes laggy EXPECTED RESULT Timeline update shouldn't affect performance of Project Monitor SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS appimage kdenlive-20.04.0-x86_64 on Debian Stable ADDITIONAL INFORMATION It's new behavior, no such problems on appimage kdenlive-19.12.3-x86_64
Tested with a 1080p50fps file. Zoomed in to +18. Preview set to 720p and 540p. No playback lag. Please test with a lower timeline preview.
Can you please provide the information requested above? Please test also if this still occurs with the latest version (https://kdenlive.org/en/download/) because there have been some improvements for playback in the meanwhile…
