Created attachment 127826 [details] Observed result SUMMARY Not sure if this is a bug or some hidden functionality I don't understand. My understanding: With settings / configure digikam / metadata / views you can configure the views that are applied in the "Metadata" tab in the right panel. If that is so, the configured views don't seem to be applied correctly all the time. For example: - Attachment 1 [details] shows the EXIF view applied on one photo. This is what I defined in Settings => correct. - Attachment 2 [details] shows the (same) EXIF view on another photo. It includes the fields I selected, but also additional ones. - Attachment 3 [details]: yet another result on another photo. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. settings / configure digikam / metadata / views / xmp 2. clear 3. select: basic schema / create date; basic schema / rating ; dublin core / subject 4. ok 5. select any picture and look at Metadata / XMP OBSERVED RESULT See attachment 4 [details] EXPECTED RESULT Only the 3 selected fields are displayed SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: Win 10 1809 64bit macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I think that's funny, a bug that probably has existed for a lot of versions and can hardly be noticed, since most users always display all metadata, is reported twice this week. Maik
