Description Jason Peck 2020-04-21 00:05:46 UTC
SUMMARY

After running Konsole for over 6 weeks (it took about 48-49 days this time around) Copy/Paste become nearly non-functional. You can not copy/paste items within your terminal. You can not copy and paste to other applications. But you can copy an item from another application and paste it into your terminal. Selective highlight does not work; nor does highlighting then opening the menu and hitting copy; nor does copying with the hot-keys. This issue has been plaguing me for years.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start and use konsole for at least 48 days
2. After 48 days, try to copy/paste with mouse
3. After 48 days, try to copy/paste with keyboard

OBSERVED RESULT
After 48 days, only copied text from outside the konsole can be pasted in.

EXPECTED RESULT
I expect to be able to copy/paste from anywhere.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian 10
KDE Plasma Version: 4.13.38-3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.54.0
Qt Version: 5.11.3

If I recall correctly, this was a Qt bug that was fixed a while ago. you're going to have to upgrade at least Qt.
