Description spec 2020-04-19 00:14:31 UTC
SUMMARY
Upon opening either 4.2.9 and also 4.16.2020 nightly build, resulting windows spans two screens. The window is resizable vertically, but is locked horizontally. It can neither be reduced nor expanded.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run freshly installed Krita on OSX system with two monitors.
2. Attempt to gather window to just one screen.
3. File bug report.

OBSERVED RESULT
Upon opening, windows is larger than existing workspace.

EXPECTED RESULT
Dragging window to desired size should work in both axis.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
macOS: 10.12.6
Qt Version:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

While submitting report, I found a workaround. Double clicking the title bar informs application to fill screen in current workspace. Ability to scale windows in both axis now works! This smacks of an uninitialized variable, or stale preference shipped with the app.

A minor note unrelated to the above report: The 'Start' keyboard shortcut hints use the Windows/Linux shortcut "ctrl-n" instead of 'Command-N'

Hi, I dont get that problem on a fresh run of krita 4.2.9 in macos 10.14.6 . That is renaming ~/Library/Application Support/krita and renaming/removing all krita related files from ~/Library/Preferences/

Is this your first time installing krita on that macos system?

Yes. Not residual files from previous installations. I did find a work around as noted in the original report.
