Description severin.kunz 2020-04-16 09:24:45 UTC
SUMMARY

I've tried to copy several GB of files from an external SSD to the internal one. (gnome-boxes images). When doing so, the whole system slows down and stops responding.

My system is Kubuntu 19.10.

Hello Severin, sorry for the delay in responding to your bug report. Could you give us some more detail? Can you reproduce this crash if you copy the files again? If yes, we'd need a backtrace with debug symbols to be able to debug this problem. Thank you :)

(In reply to Julian Schraner from comment #1)
> backtrace with debug symbols

How can I do that?
Comment 3 Julian Steinmann 2020-05-01 13:48:39 UTC
When Dolphin crashes, you should usually see a dialog opening up shortly after that asks you whether you want to generate a backtrace. You'll then want to copy this backtrace and paste/upload it here. To get a complete backtrace, you will want to install kio-dbgsym and dolphin-dbgsym first.

Please ask for help in a forum of your distribution how to install debug symbols. Some generic information is available at https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports
