I have no idea if this is the correct "product" out of the 37456378465375 products listed but if it is not the correct one please move this report under the correct product.
Also, ignore the selected version, i have no idea if thats the widgets version or not and I have no way of telling that I can find but I had to select something.

The network monitor widget is eating up a HUGE amount of my taskbar real estate and is, for all intents and purposes utterly UNCONFIGURABLE!!!
The only configuration item in there thats acutally meaningful is the one to select which interfaces are to be displayed.

Issues...

1: The widget shows the label for the interface and there is no option to turn off labels.

2: the widget shows the up and down rates both graphically (yay!) and numerically (boo!). The numerical display is overlayed on top of the graph and there is no way to turn this "feature" off. This numerical display should only be shown on mouse over and NOT over the top of the graph!

3: the colors are not configurable, you get blue and green like it or not

4: the width of the widget is static and not configurable.

The label is left justified and the numerical rates are right justified so between the label and the numerical displays there is a HUGE GAPING HOLE!!!!!

"wlp4s0_____________xxx bps | yyy bps" <--- UTTER insanity!

The above becomes even worse when you have two interfaces being displayed

"enp2so ____________ xxx bps | yyy bps wlp4s0 ____________ xxx bps | yyy bps" <-- and thus ONE freeking widget eats up HALF my freeking taskbar. someone has not thought this through very well.

"_______" <-- THIS is how wide the widget should be, remove the lables and the numerical overlays and make the widget width configurable so i dont have my limited real-estate eaten up by something that is informational and which could have a mouse over to show more in depth information IF and ONLY when I need it!

p.s. I would list this under critical but some people might get as annoyed with me as I am with this widget.

The same problem applies to other official Plasma 5 widgets as well, such as CPU Load Monitor and Memory Status.

I think the graph is taking up too much space and a compact one like "Resources Monitor" (a 3rd-party widget by clearmartin [1]) will be better.

The systemmonitor widget has been rewritten from scratch for 5.19, tough some of those issues are still valid, this should probably be closed and reopen for the new version with the issues that still apply

the valid part is basically #415981
