Krita repeated "Select Application" entries

I've just installed Krita 4.0.1 from the Ubuntu 18 repos, and noticed that it registered itself numerous times in the Ubuntu file "Select Application" dialog as seen in the attached screenshot.

Is this because it handles multiple file formats? Unlike, because other applications of that sort, e.g. the XnView image manager, only show once.

No, this isn't a bug in Krita. The Gnome people decided to disregard the NoDisplay=true flag in the relevant desktop files because the couldn't code their way out of a paper bag. Also, Krita 4.0.1? We're at 4.2.9 now and that's a huge difference.

Sorry, I'm just a person trying to edit images, not a Linux expert.

That's okay, but please do try to update to the most recent version of Krita.
