Description jmsharvey771 2020-04-07 00:21:35 UTC
SUMMARY
If you have the default URL application set to your browser, remove it, and install another browser, you cannot change that setting. This is the window I am talking about: https://i.imgur.com/1RDaIAu.png

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set your (only) browser to the default application
2. Uninstall the browser
3. Install another browser

OBSERVED RESULT

Won't register that a setting has changed, meaning that you can't apply the setting. Opening URLs will use the "in an application based on the contents of the URL" option instead of the intended browser

EXPECTED RESULT

Able to change setting to new browser and apply. All URLs open in the browser.

This page was rewritten recently. Can you still reproduce the issue in Plasma 5.19 or 5.20?
