SUMMARY

In brief, I upgraded Kubuntu 18.04 to 20.04 Beta. The bug that I'm experiencing may or may not be connected to plasma-nm, but someone more knowledgeable than me can re-categorize this if it turns out to be reproducible.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connecting to as yet "random"(?) websites (duckduckgo, startpage, and OMGUbuntu for example) can result in extenuated wait times for page loading.
2. Attempting to updatwapt leads to failures to fetch.
3. Connecting to Speedtest.net resulted in 300 mbps upload and download whereas onnecting to https://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ resulted in a Connection Has Timed Out Error.

typo: updatwapt ---> update apt
Comment 2 PGillespie 2020-04-05 15:03:44 UTC
This may have to with a Kernel Regression or be Kernel related? (This is getting quickly above my pay grade.) I used Grub Customizer to boot with 4.18

System: Host: ThinkPad Kernel: 4.18.5-041805-generic x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.18.3
           Distro: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa)

And Network Connectivity is now functioning as it should. Call that a workaround?

Good results with Kernel 5.2.0-050200-generic as well. My last comment, I guess.
