The task manager seems to regroup different windows of the same program if you just enable it even if it configured to regroup only if full. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Check if the task manager is configured to regroup same windows ONLY if it's full (default on Neon). 2. Open two windows of the same program 3. The buttons aren't regrouped (good behavior) 4. Right-click on a task > More actions > Authorize to be regrouped (disable and re-enable) OBSERVED RESULT The icons are now regrouped despite the task manager is still not full EXPECTED RESULT The icons are not regrouped (nothing should change) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon developer edition (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.69.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1 PS : Sorry for my english
Looks like an old issue. Setting it to needs more info. Please try with a newer version(plasma 5.23.5) and if this is not an issue any more let us know.
