SUMMARY Ksysguard shows wrong CPU frequency from Ryzen 7 3700X OBSERVED RESULT Because Ksysguard reads the CPU speed from /proc/cpuinfo, the maximum frequency is always displayed. Wich makes this sensor useless. I'm not sure If Ksysguard would read the frequency from /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/cpuinfo_cur_freq it would display correct values, and at the same time the average values would be displayed as nice integers. EXPECTED RESULT Correct values for CPU frequencies SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora 31 KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0 Qt Version: 5.13.2 Kernel Version: 5.5.8-200.fc31.x86_64 OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor ADDITIONAL INFORMATION % cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep MHz cpu MHz : 3792.806 cpu MHz : 3792.807 cpu MHz : 3792.807 cpu MHz : 3792.806 cpu MHz : 3792.806 cpu MHz : 3792.807 cpu MHz : 3792.807 cpu MHz : 3792.807 cpu MHz : 3792.807 cpu MHz : 3792.806 cpu MHz : 3792.456 cpu MHz : 3792.694 cpu MHz : 3792.540 cpu MHz : 3792.806 cpu MHz : 3792.567 cpu MHz : 3792.807 ➜ ~ cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/cpuinfo_cur_freq 3800000 3800000 2800000 3800000 3800000 3800000 3800000 3800000 2200000 3800000 2200000 3800000 2200000 3800000 3800000 3800000 Greetings / André
ksysguard is no longer maintained, in Plasma 6 there is the Plasma system monitor for this task. If your issue still happens with the Plasma 6 replacement, please re-open and we can move this bug to the new product, thanks!
