Operating System: Debian Testing 5.4.19-1 (2020-02-13)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.62.0
Qt Version: 5.12.5
Kernel Version: 5.4.0-4-amd64
OS Type: 64-bit

I specify
1) that the stable Debian version of my initial installation (kdelive 18.12.3-1) was not a problem
2) that I have the same problem on another machine (Sparkylinux - Potolo, based on Testing also with KDE 5)

Please try with the Kdenlive_Nightly_Appimage
https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kdenlive_Nightly_Appimage_Build/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/

Some Hdpi adjustments are done.

kdenlive-20.07.70-d940698-x86_64.appimage is not a file that I can run on Debian.

Please, indicate the git repository and the commit that you are relating to as well as the build dependencies. Debian uses QT 5.12. I hope this usable with your source.

Best regards

Heinrich

This is fixed with QT5.14.1. The AppImage contains all libraries needed. Make the AppImage executable and you can run it. It's fixed in the master branch so far https://github.com/KDE/kdenlive.

Hi !

The appImage proposed by emohr didn't fixed the problem on my machine.

However, it's strangely enough fixed for me now with:

KdenLive: 20.04.0-1 (from Debian repositories)
KDE Plasma: 5.17.5
KDE Frameworks : 5.62.0
Qt : 5.12.5

On Debian testing.

The whole issue sounds like a Qt bug. Can you please test again with the latest version (https://kdenlive.org/en/download/)? If you want to test with appimage please use the 21.04 Release Candidate https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/unstable/kdenlive-21.04.0-rc2-x86_64.appimage
