SUMMARY Basically https://askubuntu.com/q/482856/858434. I would like to open a PDF file in an existing instance of Okular, *even if* that instance is in a separate workspace. Currently, there is no way of doing this. However, this seems to be standard in other applications (firefox, acrobat reader, etc.) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open okular in workspace W1 2. run `okular --unique file.pdf` in workspace W2 != W1 OBSERVED RESULT Okular opens a new window in workspace W2. EXPECTED RESULT Okular opens a new tab in SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
