I have Ryzen 9 3900X, which has 12 physical cores exposed to the OS as 24 due to SMT. System load viewer plasmoid doesn't handle it, simply not displaying any activity for the CPU. It works fine with 8 cores / 16 SMT threads.
Please test with Plasma 5.18.3, see related bug 384515.
