Bonjour cher Monsieur,
Vous supposez mal. Oui, j'avais bien lu, j'avais installé le paquet lpr
et j'ai quand même toujours le même message.
Cordialement,
Charles

Good morning,
I try to write in English.
Sorry, but you are wrong. Yes, before your message, I had read that
correctly, I installed the lpr package and I still have the same message.
Regards,
Charles

Please open a terminal and start okular like this

QT_LOGGING_RULES="*.debug=false;org.kde.okular.core=true;" okular

Try printing and attach the whole debug that okular created on the terminal here.

chadoc@iSandy ~ $ QT_LOGGING_RULES = '*. Debug = false;
org.kde.okular.core = true;' okular
QT_LOGGING_RULES : commande introuvable

I can't open Okular

The previous message is wrong. I try again :

chadoc@iSandy ~ $
QT_LOGGING_RULES="*.debug=false;org.kde.okular.core=true;" okular

La commande « okular » n'a pas été trouvée, mais peut être installée avec :

sudo apt install okular

So you don't have okular installed?

Have you installed it from a snap maybe?
Comment 9 charles.caclin 2020-03-28 07:50:24 UTC
And yet it works. Everything works except printing.
I installed Okular (Flathub) through the software manager, on Linux Mint
19.3 Mate.
After, I have installed lpr and remove cups-bsd

Package : Org.kde.okular
Version : 1.9.3
Repository : Flathub

Jan, what was the trick to get printing working with the flathub package?
Comment 11 Jan Grulich 2020-03-30 04:38:26 UTC
The trick is usage of "--socket=cups". It only works with Flatpak 1.6.0 and newer. Older Flatpak releases don't support CUPS socket.
Comment 12 charles.caclin 2020-03-30 07:09:57 UTC
Thank you. OK, I uninstall Okular Flatpak and reinstall with the
software manager (apt).
It is an old version (4:17.12.3_Oubuntu1) but it works (It feels like
we're back on Windows XP).
Too bad, but thanks anyway Albert and Jan.
