SUMMARY Animated PNG are flickering. Those images may be used as animated icons on some services as an alternative to GIF images, and they are incorrectly displayed. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Load a page containing APNG images. For instance this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animated_Portable_Network_Graphics OBSERVED RESULT Images are flickering, only the first frame is shown correctly, the other frames are not shown. EXPECTED RESULT Either: - only the first frame is shown (non-animated solution) - all frames are correctly displayed (animated solution) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: ArchLinux 64 bits KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.60.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1 libpng: 1.6.37
I've just tested on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animated_Portable_Network_Graphics as mentioned and both images on the right load and are animated correctly with no flickering. Falkon: 3.1.0 KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.74.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2 Can you please re-test with all packages upgraded and let us know if this issue is still occurring.
