The content disappears while zooming in PDFs resulting in a white screen flashing up. This is not really a severe bug, but really annoying.
Could you please record a video/gif and upload it so we can see what you mean?

I have uploaded a screencast. Unfortunately there is more flickering than I am actually seeing. For me just the content of the PDF become white. In the video all the windows and the panel flicker, which is not a problem at all. This must be an issue of the screencast software. I have tried with Kazam and recordmydesktop. They both have this problem.
Is that a hidpi screen?
No it is a normal 1080p laptop screen
Ok, needs investigating.
I don’t have the problem with Okular from git master. But I think with “hidpi screen” Albert meant whether you use GUI scaling. (System Settings -> Display and Monitor -> Display Configuration -> Global scale slider) I use 125% scaling on my 1080p screen.
I am on 100%
I also have the problem with 125%. Maybe it is my hardware. I have a Thinkpad X380 Yoga and an Intel UHD 620.
I think this is the issue which I described in bug 423360. If you observed this problem only while zooming, and not while scrolling at the high zoom level, please change this back to REPORTED. Thanks modelmat, for subscribing to both bugs, so I see the link. :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 423360 ***
