Okular crashes repeatedly on a pdf file sent by a new utility service provider. File is opened without problem by other apps, like Xreader, Xournal, PdfSchuffler, Gimp, LibreOffice, etc. - Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia, core-9.20160110ubuntu0.2-amd64. Desktop manager is Cinnamon, not KDE.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Both your poppler and your Okular are so old it's not funny.

Please run a modern version before reporting bugs.

Thanks Albert. It is not clear for me if you advise to update the application to a version newer than the one available at my distribution official repository.

Please check which distributions offer recent versions:

If your distribution only offers outdated versions, you can also try flatpak, snap, or appimage versions:
