SUMMARY Icons are unusably small on a 4K 15" screen. Menu text is the same as other apps, but icons are impossible to decipher. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install kdenlive with windows installer or unpack zip 2. Run kdenlive OBSERVED RESULT It is but impossible to use the program because the icons are too small WORKAROUND 1. Press Windows key. Type kdenlive. The launcher should appear. 2. Right click on the launcher, select "Open file location". A browser window should open to Start Menu > Programs > kdenlive with the entry "kdenlive" 3. Right click on "kdenlive", select "Properties". The properties window should pop up. 4. Select "Compatibility", then click on "Change high DPI configuration". Another window will pop up with HIDPI options. 5. Check "Invalidate behavior of high DPI" (or some such, mine is in Spanish). There is a drop down menu below: select "System". 6. Acept and apply. 7. High DPI is an issue of QT we use in Kdenlive. Please test with the master and check if it's better without your workaround: https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kdenlive_Nightly_mingw64/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/ (download the 7zip file so you haven't to install. Just run Kdenlive in bin folder). Thank you for the workaround.
Created attachment 126995 [details] attachment-28571-0.html I have done as you say, and the March 25th night build shows the same issue. The icons are also unusably small. Can you please update to the latest version (20.12.3 at the moment, https://kdenlive.org/en/download/) and report here whether this is still happening?
