Description hardy.public 2020-03-12 17:56:15 UTC
Menu: Item -> Edit Geolocation & Edit Metadata gone missing. Neither can I launch with Ctrl + Shft + G etc.

I'm fairly sure this is a problem local to my PC rather than a bug but I can't resolve it by re-installation. I've tried 6.4.0 and 7.0.0 Beta 2. I would be very grateful for some pointers to fix it please.

Is there anything I can check?

I'm using Windows 10 64 bit.

Thank you.

Delete or rename the following folder:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\kxmlgui5\digikam

Thank you for the reply but there's no improvement. Oddly the folder mentioned is not created again after deletion. Should it be?

The folder will not be created again until you make changes to the menus. You haven't deactivated the plugins in the setup? Look in the setup under plugins. Otherwise, install DebugView from Microsoft and post the log from the start of digiKam.

You're right, the plugins were all disabled. I think I was debugging something else weeks ago and switched them all off and forgot to switch them back on. I'm a fool.

Thank you again.
