Description elman 2020-03-12 09:23:58 UTC
SUMMARY
My setup is notebook (closed lid, screen disabled) + docking station + 2 external monitors. Sometimes after suspending notebook when I return to it, I only see black screen and mouse cursor. There is not way to unlock the session.

I've seen several hints, but none of them works. I tried blindly typing password and pressing enter. I tried switching do tty2 and back to tty1.

What I didn't try yet is 'loginctl unlock-sessions' in different tty. Will report on that later.

Only thing I can do is either reset my notebook or kill X with Ctrl+Alt+Backspace.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
This is random bahaviour, so can't reproduce it every time. Sometimes I see this behaviour also when I disconnect notebook from docking station and then open the lid.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.3
