Description altmailjk 2020-03-07 21:33:36 UTC
SUMMARY
While working on an animation in the program, if I do anything above 10-15 frames per second the frames glitch, making it hard to create an accurate animation. Audio is effected after 10 frames per second and starts doing mini-loops on itself. However, once the animation is exported it is fine.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Krita and make a short animation possibly with some audio
2. set the frame rate to above 15fps.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
Frames play slower than frame rate.

EXPECTED RESULT
Frames should play at frame rate.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Please edit the details at the top of the bug report to show which version of krita you're using and which operating system. (Version 4.2.8 and Windows 10?)

Accurate audio playback often has problems and is not an easy thing to do well. The developers are aware of this limitation in audio performance. The best that can be hoped for is that it renders out to an .mp4 file ok. Krita relies on ffmpeg to add the audio to a video file.

You may have a computer performance limitation that is giving you animation playback problems at a high frame rate.

This problem is best dealt with by asking for help and advice, not by declaring a bug, since many people have no problem with playback at high frame rates.

Please go to the KDE forum here: https://forum.kde.org/viewforum.php?f=281 and make a post that describes the problem and someone will reply to discuss this with you.
