Screen recording.

SUMMARY

Dragging a window to the right edge, will make it tile to cover 50% of the available screen space.
Now resizing it horizontally to the left does have a weird effect:

The window will become larger in all directions,
resulting that the right and lower part of the window are expanded off the screen.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Several virtual desktops (grid 2 x 3, not necessary?)
2. Enable tiling by dragging to edge
3. Tile to the right
4. Resize the window on the left edge horizontally

EXPECTED RESULT

After tiling it to the right half, it should be possible to resize it horizontally to make the window use a different fraction (like 75%) of the screen.

In the screen recording you can see that the apply button at the lower right part of the window vanished after resizing the window.
