Description MarcP 2020-03-06 17:36:45 UTC
SUMMARY

After detecting some faces, if you manually enter a name for one of the faces, the next faces you will select will suggest that name by default.

I don't know if this is done ion purpose (it can be useful when tagging multiple faces for the same people), but it even happens for faces that have been recognized, replacing the suggested name with the one you typed before.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to the People panel, unconfirmed faces.
2. Write one name under one of the faces, and confirm it.
3. Click or hover over another face

OBSERVED RESULT
The new face has the just used name, instead of the real suggestion.

EXPECTED RESULT
The new face should show the original suggestion, or none if there are no suggestions.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
digikam-7.0.0-beta3-20200304T085009-x86-64.appimage in Ubuntu 18.04 with Unity.

Yes, it is intended that the name be adopted. In this case, only people with the same name at the moment. Other suggested names remain. If you confirm another name suggestion, the other suggestions will be displayed again. It makes sense to me that the names of the people who have been corrected are also suggested for the others with the same name. I don't know now if you understand :-)

Ok, I was not sure if it was a bug or that was the intended behavior. You can close the bug report if you wish then.
