Same problem here, with Okular Version 1.9.3 I can copy and paste accented characters, but I'm not able to type them directly. Print screen attached. jgr@zoe:~$ snap list okular Name Version Rev Tracking Publisher Notes okular 19.12.3 90 latest/stable kde✓ - I'm using gnome, with several nice KDE tools installed, like Okular. jgr@zoe:~$ gnome-shell --version GNOME Shell 3.34.3
I've checked it also happens in the Kate snap, so it must have something to do with the KDE runtime.
I've also asked in: https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/accents-in-kde-snaps/16765 There, daniel has managed to get some error messages which may help in solving this.
I hope it's acceptable that I bump this bug report ;) I've noticed that the snap is not even up-to-date. An update could be a good chance to look at this bug :)
