What is the status of "View/Show all accounts"?
(In reply to Thomas Baumgart from comment #2) > What is the status of "View/Show all accounts"? The "View/Show all accounts" was enabled. Disabling it solved the problem. Please help me understand the difference between "View/Show all accounts" and the "Do not show closed accounts."?
They are basically different ways of getting the same effect. I consider that the main difference is that "Do not show closed accounts" is a configuration setting which sets the basic behaviour of the program. The "view/show all accounts" is used as a temporary override (mainly because it has a global keboard shortcut.) Personally, I mostly use it in investment accounts, such as for a stock I sold last month, and closed the security account, but got a late dividend this month. If I need to edit that new transaction, I need to reopen the stock account first, but the investment view doesn't show closed accounts. A quick Ctl-Shift-A toggles that setting, I reopen the account, edit the transaction, then close the account and another Ctl-Shift-A hides the closed accounts again. I would have to dig into the configuration dialog to change "Do not show all accounts." If this is sufficient explanation, we can close this ticket as "Not a bug" or "Works for me."

Jack, Your explanation is very helpful. I'll mark the report closed. Regards Robert
