Created attachment 126540 [details] lines 3-7(count manually, do not use the line counts in the UI) were pasted in SUMMARY Middle click pasting text results in line count error STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Write one line of text and enter into a new blank line. 2. Highlight a multi line text sample including blank lines in a different app 3. Use the middle click function to paste the text into the second blank line after the text from step one. OBSERVED RESULT Line count text on the left is duplicated / misprinted/ incorrect. EXPECTED RESULT Text is pasted and line count is correct SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 19.10 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.62.0 Qt Version: 5.12.4 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Reproducible with Kate 19.12.3 on Arch Linux.
Hi, I might be confused, but what is exactly wrong? In your screenshot I just see the few lines and that dynamic word wrap leads to some wrappings that are not counted. How should it look correctly? Sorry if I misunderstand the issue.
Scott I've just tried to reproduce this on git master and the line count matches up correctly when using middle click to paste. Can you please re-test and confirm this is no longer an issue, thanks.
