Probably due to the big full-screen blur effect.

I can no longer reproduce this in Plasma 5.26, after being able to in the past. Can anyone else confirm?
Comment 8 Patrick Silva 2022-10-22 09:40:57 UTC
I can reproduce at least on the Wayland session of both Arch Linux (Plasma 5.26.1) and neon unstable.
The fps drops from 55 to 40 on Arch Linux and from 60 to 45 on neon unstable.

Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition
KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.100.0
Qt Version: 5.15.6
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Comment 9 Nate Graham 2022-10-24 18:05:32 UTC
I can reproduce that. This seems like a lass bad FPS drop than it used to be, because it's no longer visibly choppy to me.
Comment 10 Patrick Silva 2023-11-19 16:35:00 UTC
Tested on X11 and Wayland; cannot reproduce.

Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.245.0
Qt Version: 6.6.0
Graphics Platform: Wayland
