Description sse450 2020-02-22 07:26:51 UTC
SUMMARY
I am migrating to digikam with 50K+ pictures. Embedded tags are correctly recognized, but without hierarchy. I am now trying to recreate the correct hierarchy within tag manager window.

If I want to move a tag as a sub tag of another tag which is not visible in the window:

1. I cannot cut-paste as cut-paste not available
2. Dragging the tag beyond visible window not possible as the window side bar doesn't scroll up and down.

The only way for me is to create another tag and move all the visible tags under new tag until the target tag is also visible for the required operation.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create more tags so that some tags are not visible in tag manager window (even if it is maximized)
2. Try to drag a tag under another tag which is not readily visible within the tag manager window.

OBSERVED RESULT
You cannot drag a tag beyond the visible window.

EXPECTED RESULT
The window should scroll down or up while you drag a tag.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: Ubuntu 19.10

The problem that the view does not scroll has already been reported and has been fixed in digiKam-7.0.0-beta3. You can download the beta version from here:
