SUMMARY Created circle and tried to align to center using align docket. Tried to select object, but says selection (arrow, top left corner) only works with vector layers so I can't select the circle to align it. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create circle from circle button 2. Try to select using arrow button 3. Can't select, can't align OBSERVED RESULT Error messages and no alignment EXPECTED RESULT Being able to select the object and align it. Arrange only works for vector layers. Seems like you have a pixel layer. In the layers docker, next to the plus icon to create a new layer, there's a dropdown from where you can choose to create a new vector layer. Draw your circle on that and try again.
I first set this to wish, but it clearly doesn't fit that either -- it's just not a bug. What's painted on a raster layer cannot be aligned, because they are just pixels, not objects
