In the new pop-up system introduced in 5.17, when a music player shows pop-ups with the song that started playing, and this song has an associated cover, the pop-up shown by it will render the cover image in its full size, occupying a good chunk of the screen. Would be better if the size of these pop-ups could be kept to a maximum as it looks really weird. For reference, the problem happens with media player "JuK" and widget "Media Player Compact". Steps to reproduce: * Put a widget for media player compact in the taskbar (https://store.kde.org/p/998887/). * Open JuK. * In JuK, create a playlist with a cover image. * Play some song from JuK. Expected behavior: should show some small pop-up with the name of the song that is playing now, perhaps accompanied by a small image of the playlist cover. Actual behavior: shows a pop-up with the name of the song and the full-sized image associated with it.
The "Media Player Compact" widget is 3rd-party and you would need to report this to its developer.
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > The "Media Player Compact" widget is 3rd-party and you would need to report > this to its developer. Did a bit more digging and turns out the pop-up is from JuK (which is a KDE project) and has nothing to do with the widget.
Can you attach a screenshot showing what it looks like and what the issue is?
Created attachment 126308 [details] big_juk_pop_up Added a screenshot illustrating the issue.
