SUMMARY If I play youtube or any audio in google chrome, the audio symbol (to mute) appears on chromium also and vice versa in the task manager. It would be great if both have separate mute buttons SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.5.4-arch1-1 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I have the same problem with Firefox and Firefox Developer Edition.
I can't reproduce this with current Plasma master, neither with Chrome/Chromium nor Firefox/Firefox Developer Edition
It’s totally broken for me. I just opened the same Youtube video in Firefox Developer Edition, Firefox Nightly and already Plasma is confusing logos. Just tried to open a video in Firefox Release afterwards and it confuses even more things. Step 1. Play a Youtube video in Firefox Dev Edition I have two entries that controls the Dev Edition: 1. Firefox Dev Edition logo: title + URL, no miniature, time bar doesn’t update unless I switch tabs, can put on play but can’t pause media playing. 2. Firefox Release logo: title + Youtube channel name, no miniature, no time bar, can play and pause Step 2. Play a Youtube video in Firefox Release In 1. I can put Firefox Dev Edition video in pause. Weird. 3. Firefox Release logo: title + channel name, miniature, no time bar, can play and pause. Step 3. Play a Youtube Video in Firefox Nightly In 1. I can’t put Firefox Dev Edition video in pause again. what. 4. Firefox Nightly logo: title + channel name, miniature, time bar doesn’t update at all, can play and pause. 5. Firefox Release logo: controls video in Firefox Nightly, title only, no time bar, can play and pause Step 2: Close Firefox Nightly In 1. I can put in pause again, so it seems to be deterministic. Anyway from these tests, it seems pretty clear that: every feature works for some Firefox edition, nothing works on every Firefox edition, and it mixes Firefox editions from logos to breaking play/pause. Yep, this is the same as Bug 417457. Turning on systemd startup will fix it once we merge some in-progress work for this. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 417457 ***
