SUMMARY Try to change manually the date of a hundreds of photos, where the date and time was not adjusted correctly. Entering manually the date is working as expected. I have another set of photos taken in the same date and time, and tried to apply extracting the correct values from there but not works. Or I didn`t undertand the functionality of this option? STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Select images and Ctrl+Shift+D to adjust time & date 2. drag another image with the correct timestamp over the "Determine difference from clock photo" (or select it opening with the button) 3. The new image appears in a window where the correct timestamp is displayed. 4. Press ok, the window is closing and nothing else happens. OBSERVED RESULT The date from the image with correct time is not applied to the images selected in the first step. EXPECTED RESULT The date from the image with correct time have to be applied to the images selected in the first step. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 64bit
Here under Linux, the tool will open a standard "file open" dialog to select and photo where date will be picked as reference before to patch the image loaded in tool. Gilles Caulier
In Windows also is opened a window with the image, as I wrote, clicking on the button or drag and drop an image over that. But I thought that the time&date from here is automatically applied to the other images. It means that I`m wrong with this and I only have the possibility to enter manually the data? In the Timestamp Adjustment part are also three options which I don`t understand how they works: Copy value, Add and Substract. I didn`t find a detailed explanation in the documentation. However, entering the values manually works fine, it is a very useful feaure, thanks for that.
The function also works perfectly under Windows. I think you misunderstand the function. You open a image, the date of the metadata is shown below. It is assumed that you see a clock in the image or know the exact time of the image. You now set the correct date in the date/time field below. If you now press the OK button, this difference is set correctly in the TimeAdjust Tool. Maik
I close the bug now, if there should be a problem, please reopen it. Maik
Ok, I understand now, thank you.
