OBSERVED RESULT icons are barely visible or invisible. See the attached screenshot of inkscape. EXPECTED RESULT icons should be visible SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1
Same root cause as Bug 412331. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 412331 ***
Seems like an unsolvable problem, unless we can set the icon theme for only GTK3 apps.

This problems bothers me on Pinta. Before I was using the older version installed as deb from Discover. Wasn't pretty but it used a dark theme. But now I changed for the newer version as a Flatpak in hopes that finally, FINALLY!!! it would behave like any decent and honest program and stop crashing every five minutes!!!! It improved but now it refuses refuses to use a dark theme. If I set Breeze (while using Breeze Dark) the icons become almost invisible, even though the Preview shows a dark theme. If I set Default it's the same and the Preview shows a light theme I need to set Breeze Darker as GTK theme to make the icons visible. But while the Preview shows the dark theme it doesn't appear on Pinta and my eyes have to suffer with the light time. I suspected if this could be a problem with Flatpaks, but no, just seems like a problem with GTK developers not following some standard properly. Recently I installed a few other GTK programs as Flatpaks and some have the problem, others don't. GTK Flatpaks I had installed to test and noticed the same problem: Video Downloader ( com.github.unrud.VideoDownloader ) Flatseal (com.github.tchx84.Flatseal) And Pinta. GTK Flatpaks I had installed to test and I'm not sure because they have settings to enable and disable dark themes: SMPlayer (info.smplayer.SMPlayer) Komikku (info.febvre.Komikku) Anki (net.ankiweb.Anki) GTK Flatpaks I had installed to test and use a dark theme regardless: Youtubedl-gui (io.github.JaGoLi.ytdl_gui) Minitube (org.tordini.flavio.Minitube)
Ultimately this is the same issue as Bug 421745, and will be fixed automatically when that is fixed. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 421745 ***
