Description Enhex 2020-02-07 18:52:40 UTC
setting custom shortcut in the embedded terminal for copy & paste isn't saved between sessions.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
- open file manager.
- press F4 to open embedded terminal.
- right click the terminal space.
- right click copy
- set custom shortcut (I change it to `ctrl + c`)
- close the file manager.
- open the file manager, custom shortcut is gone.

OBSERVED RESULT
custom shortcuts resets between file manager sessions

EXPECTED RESULT
that the shortcuts will be saved, or even better that the embedded console will use the regular console's shortcuts so users won't have to set shortcuts twice.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
dolphin version 19.12.0

I may be wrong but I believe Ctrl C is reserved in any terminal for cancelling a currently running task. Does the issue happen with other shortcuts?

For example, can you set it to something other than Ctrl C?

In general in other terminals it works and automatically swaps ctrl+shift+C to be cancel.

I did try it again using dolphin 21.04.1, and it doesn't even save the shortcut at all now.

Wow, I did not know that you can right click on context menu itself to reconfigure shortcuts. But it is working only in terminal panel.
I confirm, setting another shortcut in a such way has no effect. You even do not need to close and reopen dolphin. Just see the context menu again, and you will see that shortcut again became a default.
