Description raymond.d.lucas 2020-02-07 07:28:35 UTC
SUMMARY

The drop down menus that are used to limit what Albums and/or Tags are used as part of the Faces Workflow do not have scrollbars. This makes it very tedious to navigate through long lists.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Using AppImage 7.0 beta2
2. In a collection with more then a trivial number of Albums or Tags, navigate to People > Search In > Albums or Tags > select the drop down menu which allows you to specify particular Albums or Tags to search.

OBSERVED RESULT
The only way to scroll through the list seems to be with the scroll wheel on a mouse (or equivalent).

EXPECTED RESULT
Have a scrollbar to allow much easier navigation.

(It would be even better if there was a fully searchable window like the Filter tab on the right of the screen, but I suspect that's a lot more work!)

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: Mint 19.3, Linux (x86_64) release 4.15.0-76-generic
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version:
Qt Version:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This behaviour seems to be the same in the 6.4 AppImage. 6.4 on Windows does display a scroll bar. Haven't install 7.0 on Windows to test.

I can not reproduce here, there have always been scrollbars. Just tested again with the Fusion and Breeze Style. Scrollbars are also available under Windows. Mint specific problem? Please take a screenshot.

No problem here. tag/album tree-vew has scrollbar.

Your problem is relevant of widget styles used to render application. Go to DK Setup Miscs dialog page and change style.

You are correct. Changed Widget Style from Fusion to Windows, restarted and a scrollbar is now visible.

So if I really wanted to use Fusion I would still consider it a problem, but I'm happy with that as a solution.

Cheers!
