Description Patrick Silva 2020-02-05 17:03:57 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open K3b
2. click on "Settings" menu > Configure K3b...
3. click in 'Advanced" section in the left side, check "Do not eject medium after write process"
and click on "Ok" button
4. insert a writable cd/dvd/bd disc and wait your system to recognize it
5. click on device notifier in systray and observe as it recognizes the inserted disc (if it's an empty disc it will say "Blank CD-R/DVD-R/BD-R")
6. create a data project in K3b, set a disc label or leave the default "k3b data project", add some files
to your project
7. burn your project
8. after the burning process, click on device notifier in systray and observe as it recognize
the just burned disc

OBSERVED RESULT
device notifier is still recognizing the just burned disc as "Blank CD-R/DVD-R/BD-R"
until we eject and reinsert it manually.

EXPECTED RESULT
device notifier should recognize correctly the just burned disc (showing its correct label) immediately after burning, without ejecting/reinserting.

Thanks for the bug report. I'm sorry we weren't able to get to this yet. There have been many fixes and improvements since this was reported, and this issue may have been fixed.

Can you please re-test on your system with Plasma 6.3.5 or later and let us know if you can still reproduce the problem? If you can, please set this report back to REPORTED. Thanks!
