SUMMARY
I have been working on this piece for a couple of hours and the program started lagging, so I saved the file and closed the program. When I tried to open it, it kept saying Krita was not responding. Please just recover my artwork, even if layers are lost. I can't figure out how to open a .kra file without opening it on Krita.

Please make available the .kra file so we can actually see what happened? Also, provide the contents of help->system information for bug reports.

Once again, please provide a google driver, dropbox, wetransfer or other download link for the file so I can take a look; without access to the file I cannot help you.
