Description daetsch 2020-02-04 10:32:19 UTC
Hi, I would like to be able to create symbolic links of filtered pictures (e.g. all 5-star-pictures of the year 2019) into a specific folder. Currently I can only export them by copying, which takes tons of disk-space and creates duplicates.

This function is already included in digiKam-7.0.0-Beta3 in the file copy plugin.

You guys are awesome! I am more then happy to check that out in a test environment once 7.0.0-Beta3 is available to download. Reply follow.

OK, tested it and worked. Thanks a lot about that. Two things:

1) I could see it creates an absolute link. Would it be possible for you to add the possibility also to create a relative link?

2) I am currently using 5.9.0 with external MySQL-Server. When switching straight up to 7.0.0-Beta3, is there anything I should concern about the database? Or will this work right away?
