SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. copy or move a large file/directory from one place to another


OBSERVED RESULT

There is a notification at the end of the operation, but no indication of ongoing/progress.

EXPECTED RESULT

I want to see the state of my operations so that I will not close Dolphin by mistake.

Actually, the indication should be made through the system tray icon (cycling blue dot around the number of operations). Click on it then click on the ">" button to expand the progress data.

This was made to diminish the user annoyance. You can configure notification by clicking the top triangle button in the tray then right-clicking on "Notifications" and choosing "Configure Notifications..."

This was fixed for the default case in a later version (Plasma 5.16 IIRC). Now a nice notification showing job progress appears in the corner.
