SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Slideshow, All (or any fullscreen mode)
2. Keyboard shortcuts during or at end of viewing images to exit don't work, unable to show desktop
3. Have to restart computer

OBSERVED RESULT
Mouse still moving, but otherwise appears to be a program crash

EXPECTED RESULT
Exit to Digikam edit pane

Please start digiKam from a Terminal and run Slideshow again, not in fullscreen. Report the text trace here.

Do the same in fullscreen.

Q : Which MacOS do you use exactly ?

Also, instead 6.4.0, please try with current 7.0.0-beta3 package comming with more than 600 bug fixes.

This is a Qt bug, there are already various entries in the bug tracker but no real solution yet. Under MacOS a second virtual desktop is opened in fullscreen mode, but Qt does not close it when returns to normal mode, so a dead widget remains. I'm going to try a workaround for MacOS.
