The issue and libinput devices list

SUMMARY
I'm using a laptop with a built-in touchpad (like most) and I also have an Apple Magic Trackpad 2. Wether the Apple Trackpad is plugged in over USB, or paired via Bluetooth, I cannot select it in Touchpad settings. The "Device" selection is disabled and the laptop's built-in touchpad is selected.

The Apple Trackpad works and can be configured via libinput itself, but not the KDE settings.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Plug an external touchpad into a laptop with a built-in touchpad
2. open the KDE Touchpad settings component
3. try to change the device

OBSERVED RESULT
Cannot change device, therefore cannot change settings via KDE.

EXPECTED RESULT
Can change device, can change settings, settings applied via libinput.
