Description Riccardo Robecchi 2020-01-27 23:10:36 UTC
SUMMARY
I have been witnessing a weird behaviour where Plasma stops recognising media keys and needs to be restarted in order for them to work correctly. I just found out this is consistently reproducible when manually setting the default player.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. use media keys while multiple players, say Deadbeef and plasma-browser-integration, are open: they work correctly (though the wrong player is often selected).
2. manually select Deadbeef

OBSERVED RESULT
Media keys stop working.

EXPECTED RESULT
Media keys keep on working even after the user selects the default player.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE neon 5.17.5
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.66.0
