Can you compare the contents of a backup written with 5.0.6 against the one written with 5.0.8? Those files are gzipped XML files. That would be cool, because I can read my 5.0.8 generated file with 5.0.6 w/o any problems. Also, there should be no changes in the file layout between the two versions that are not backward compatible.

Thanks for the hint Thomas. I opened a backup file to 5.0.6 that worked fine. Then I opened it in 5.0.8, closed and went back to 5.0.6 where it opened fine. Something must have become corrupted in my file but it's working as I've witnessed in the past where it's backwards compatible.

BTW, I really like to new KMM web page. It looks really nice. Also nice work on 5.0.8. It's appreciated.

I closed this bug.
