Description Nate Graham 2020-01-17 22:14:03 UTC
For about 3 months now, I have been unable to pair my phone and computer. I had previously been able to, but one day it broke and I never started working again.

Phone: Samsung Galaxy S7 running Android 8.0.0 and the latest KDE Connect app from the Google Play store

Computer: 2016 HP Spectre x360 running openSUSE Tumbleweed with all KDE software built from source.

Both devices are on my home WiFi network and can see one another.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Try to pair from phone:
1. open KDE Connect app
2. Tap Hamburger menu and tap "Pair new device"
3. Tap my computer in the list
4. Tap "Request Pairing"
5. Click "Accept" on the notification that appears in Plasma on the compuer
Result: the Android app shows a spinner and eventually errors out the the message "Timed out"

Try to pair from the KCM:
1. Open System Settings > KDE Connect
2. Click "Refresh"
3. Select my phone from the list
4. Click "Request Pair"
Result: The KCM shows an indeterminate progress bar and eventually shows an inline message saying "Error trying to pair: Timed out"

Try to pair from the CLI:
1. Run `kdeconnect-cli --pair -d <device ID>` from the computer
Result: "Pair requested" is printed to the console but nothing further happens
