Created attachment 125206 [details] Prent screens as described SUMMARY Camera connected via USB to the computer. By Win 10 64 Bit, Camera is recogniced but not by DigiKam. But DigiKam recognices the connected Garmin GPS as memory stick STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connecting Canon camera via USB2 to the computer (Camera will be recogniced by Win 10 and is shown as EOS50D in the explorer (Attachement 1, Explorer) 2. Opening DigiKam an pressing import shows the GPS with its memory card but not the camera (Attachment 2 [details], DigiKam-Import) 3. Opening DigiKam setup and try to install camera mannualy. The camera is not recogniced and the directory \mt\camera is empty (Attachement 3, Setup) OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The problem is known, cameras as PTP or MTP devices are not yet supported under Windows. Only mass storage is supported. Maik
