Description Piotr Mierzwinski 2020-01-16 20:34:10 UTC
SUMMARY
Would be nice to have bookmark toolview to navigate between marked points in code just clicking into entries placed in such view. I wasn't able to find any after I clicked into bar with views.

I found some thread here: https://kdevelop.kde.narkive.com/mMmSgZRX/bookmarks-toolview where Alexandre Courbot mentions about such functionality.
I think it (Bookmark toolview) was implemented in KDevelop 4.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: YES
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.66
Qt Version: 5.14

There is a bookmark toolview in KDevelop, but it doesn't seem to be working. To enable it, right-click on a bottom or left toolview dock and select the Bookmarks context menu item.

I suppose you built KDevelop from source and this maybe is enabled by default. I have binary package coming from Arch Linux distribution and cannot find it.

Strange. I'm using the Arch package as well (Version: 5.5.0-1, Build Date: Sunday, February 2, 2020 10:46:37 PM EET) and the Bookmarks tool view can be enabled. Attached the tool view context menu screenshot. The Bookmarks tool view is also present in a build from git master. But even if for some reason your KDevelop doesn't have it, you are not missing much. All the buttons on my Bookmarks tool view are permanently disabled and it is completely nonfunctional. It will have to be fixed eventually.

So I have the same version of KDevelop.
I don't know how you reached it (Bookmark view), but I checked Plugins to find any related and wasn't able to find such. I attach 2 screen shots for "code mode" and "debug mode". Your list seems to be richer with options.

I hope someone, someday will fix it, because would be very usable, In my opinion.
